We hope you will join us this summer and experience how much fun you will have learning new things like Capoeira, Hip Hop dance, Brazilian Samba drumming,  African dance, Singing, African drumming, creative art projects, Tiako drumming, jam band, drama class, and MORE! Remember that no prior musical experience is needed!

For 18 years, the New Mexico Jazz Workshop has presented our outstanding camp to hundreds of kids 6-12 years old.

Campers are divided into groups by age, and taught by professionals in their field…several of whom have been with us for many years. Mornings are spent taking three classes that include; drumming, art, singing, and movement to name a few. In the afternoon each camper chooses two elective classes that interest them to round out their day. Afternoon electives include; Capoeira, Hip Hop dance, Samba drumming, African dance, singing, and more. Creative Arts Camp encourages improvisation and individual expression within this schedule, which also includes supervised outdoor playtime during the lunch hour.

The New Mexico Jazz Workshop is proud that all of our camp staff members have passed recent background checks, and many are APS employees.

Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and drink each day. Morning and afternoon snacks will be furnished.
