Friday, June 4—Quemozo A warm and exciting Latin Group featuring a mix of Salsa, Brazilian and Caribbean magic.

Friday, June 11—Los Van Van ($25/$23/$22 in advance, Day of Show: $30) presented in partnership with AMP Concerts.

Widely considered the founders of Timba music, Los Van Van has been Cuba's most popular group for over 32 years. The band was founded by Juan Formell, who is considered by many to be the most important figure in Cuban music. Always fearlessly experimental, they have combined Cuban rhythms with synthesizers, all types of rock, rap, Brazilian music, merengue, and just about anything else that caught their interest. Formell, now nearly 60, has never stopped to rest on his laurels and never allowed his music to become dated. He continues to write hits which capture the imagination of the young, dance-oriented public in Cuba.

Friday, July 9—Charanga del Valle -- This salsa band has a traditional flavor and flair with a varied repertoire of rhythms including traditional salsa, bolero, cha-cha, and meringue as well as contemporary Cuban timba--wonderful for dancing and listening.

Friday, July 16—Calle 66 -- Calle 66 - One of the state's finest salsa ensembles, Calle 66 presents contemporary and traditional salsa with the integrity and respect that the salsa art deserves

2000 Mountain Road NW, Old Town Albuquerque; 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.; Doors open at 6:30 p.m. All concerts occur rain or shine. Admission (EXCEPT WHERE OTHERWISE NOTED): $13 Adults; $11 Seniors (60+) and Students w/ID; $10 New Mexico Jazz Workshop (NMJW) and Albuquerque Museum Members. Save by purchasing Summer Music Festival Passes - a Full Pass for 19 concerts ($215) or a Half Pass for 10 concerts ($110) may be purchased. These Pass tickets may be used singly for each concert or in multiples up to the number of concerts purchased.
